It was first found in our region in 2012 when it was found in trees in Bucks county. The insect was verified in Mercer County in the spring of 2015. The insect feeds on and kills all varieties of Ash tree, a common forest and landscape tree in our region. Tree death usually occurs within 3-5 years of infestation, but often few if any symptoms are obvious the first year or two.
